American Workers

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country (from the United States Department of Labor website).

Whether it's from home

Or the office

In the yard

On the job site

In the classroom

Or from behind the counter

We appreciate all YOUR hard work!

How did you celebrate this Labor Day weekend?

Yep that's me behind the cash tonight from 3pm till 11:15pm spending my labour day at a union grocery store lol ! I still haven't figured out why the union is good for us...standing in one spot for so long is not easy!
Have a great holiday Monday!

Nel and Jess, I like that. Thanks for putting your names after your posts. Makes it easier to know who's talking to me : )
Nice tribute to hard workers around the country. I'm in Canada and yes we also are having our Labor Day weekend. We share a few holidays together.
You seem like really well grounded young ladies.

This is really timely for California as you probably know our grocery workers may be going on strike. I wish I could go on strike. We all need a decent wage and decent health coverage. This labor day will be spent at home but I wish I were at the beach like your last photograph!
